Most summers we make an annual trip to the family farm in Ohio. This lovely barn sits just off the road, on our way to Greenville. The Stillwater River, which meanders through our farm, also runs behind this barn, out of site from the road. Admiring this barn, year after year, I finally had to paint it!

One summer, when we were visiting our farm in Ohio, we watched a local farmer load his hay into our barn for winter storage. When he was finished the hay was stacked from the floor to well over our heads. I liked the color of the golden hay against the rusty tin roof of the aging barn.
